Customers comments
I just received my order and I am so happy. The clothing is even more beautiful in person. The colors and trim are absolutely stunning. Everything fits perfectly and the quality is excellent. I'm also pleased with how fast the express shipping was. Our 4th grade class will be thrilled to see such beautiful Russian wear on me as I run the "shop" for our re-enactment at Fort Ross on the California coast.
Thank you so much!

Russian shirt - kosovorotka with hand-made embroidery
Price: $94.95

Kosovorotka was beloved by Russian men of all ages long time ago. . Traditionally kosovorotka was worn by peasants, but then a lot of tradesmen liked this type of shirt as well. The style was always the same; the only difference was in the embroidery. The more important event was, the more beautiful and richer was the decoration. The decoration was always made on the sleeves and the front side at the collar and on the bottom. Nowadays Russian tolstoyan shirts are used for folk music festival and concerts and other special occasion.

Wearing kosovorotka is not only a good reason to keep Russian traditions but also stand out thanks to a beautiful shirt with skillful design.

These tolstovka are made from 100% linen and embroidered skillfully by women in a distant town on Volga river.
