Customers comments
Dear Friends: Last week I decided I wanted to watch some of the lunar eclipse.I knew it was cold out and so I put on my beautiful brown Valenkis that go almost to my knees. The temperature was cold, -11F, and I decided to stay out only until I started to get uncomfortable. I watched a lot of the eclipse and thoroughly enjoyed my time outside, being very still, and very cozy. My fingers started to get chilly and my cheeks were cold, although my bare toes in my warm boots were just beginning to cool off. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I'd been out in that sub-zero weather for almost an hour! I LOVE your boots!!!!! Thanks,
Pam, US

Kosovorotka was beloved by Russian men of all ages long time ago. . Traditionally kosovorotka was worn by peasants, but then a lot of tradesmen liked this type of shirt as well. The style was always the same; the only difference was in the embroidery. The more important event was, the more beautiful and richer was the decoration. The decoration was always made on the sleeves and the front side at the collar and on the bottom. Nowadays Russian tolstoyan shirts are used for folk music festival and concerts and other special occasion.

Wearing kosovorotka is not only a good reason to keep Russian traditions but also stand out thanks to a beautiful shirt with skillful design.

These tolstovka are made from 100% linen and embroidered skillfully by women in a distant town on Volga river.
