Russian shawls from cotton size 45"x45" (115x115cm) are made of batiste  and have with no fringe. Batiste is not produced in Russia anymore, but Pavloposadskaya manufactory still offers amazing batiste shawls. This material is light and versatile, falls so beautifully. Batiste was originally made in Cambria, France and used for church embroidery. Our Russian shawls are fine, soft, closely woven and have amazing trendy designs.
