Traditional Georgian folk dress is so colorful and has many varieties. The women used to wear loose costumes made of silk, satin, silk, brocade or plush. Armenian costumes for women are believed to be dated back to the Urartu era. Since then the traditional dresses of Caucasus were designed with colorful silk, embroidered with gold thread. This Georgian costume includes: a dress, a belt and a traditional headdress. The petit coat is not included in the costume set. The folk pattern may differ from the one shown in the photo.
