Kubanka is a uniform fur hat of the Kuban and Terek Cossack troops, a small papakha. The word "Kubanka" came out in the First World War. It is a hat made of black and colored sheep skins with a cloth or leather colored top (red, blue, yellow). Kubanka is worn on holidays and on special occasions. Many traditions have sunk into oblivion and have become interesting stories for the younger generation.
