Description
Russian navy shirt was introduced to the Imperial Navy in 1874 by Grand Dulke Konstantin Romanov, which was lately called telnyashka. The word 'telnyashka' derives from the Russian "telo" which means body. The sailors in these striped navy shirts are easily recognized on decks against the sea or the sails. Moreover, Russian navy shirt is very practical: warm, snugly, easy to wash, never wrinkles. Single thread knitting is the standard military version.
The stripes colors define different troops: dark blue - navy, light blue - airborne, light green - border troops, dark red - internal troops. Other colors may be offered upon your request.
This is a sleeveless telnyashka version, you can buy a classic Russian navy shirt here.
